An emergency is any situation that requires immediate assistance from the police, fire department or ambulance.

When you call 911, be prepared to answer the call-taker’s questions, which may include:

  1. Ask for assistance from CIT trained professionals.
  2. The location of the emergency, including the street address.
  3. The phone number you are calling from.
  4. The nature of the emergency.
  5. Details about the emergency, such as a physical description of a person, description of injuries or symptoms being experienced by a person having a medical emergency.

Call Crisis Intervention

...if your situation does not require 911 emergency assistance. Crisis counselors will be able to help you determine the steps you need to take in addition to working with authorities in the event of an emergency.

You will be in touch with someone who can assist adults, young people and their families who are having problems that are too big to handle alone. Our crisis counselors care and they can help. What you have to say will be treated with respect.

A crisis counselor is on call 24 hours a day - everyday including weekends and holidays. The counselor can come to your home, meet you at school or at any other convenient place.
